The Royal Society of Canada Announces Lakehead University as its 55th Institutional Member

The Royal Society of Canada is pleased to announce that Lakehead University has joined the Institutional Member Programme as its 55th Institutional Member.  Lakehead University is a dynamic, modern, and highly learner-centred institution that acknowledges all of its students as valued leaders of tomorrow. Lakehead is the proud host to ten Canada Research Chairs and revolutionary facilities such as their world-renowned Paleo-DNA Laboratory and their Biorefining Research Institute. “Lakehead University is delighted to become a member of the Royal Society. As Lakehead University enters its next 50 years in its development, we intend to increase significantly our partnerships and our research profile. We look forward to our association with Canada’s premier organization for recognition of excellence in the academia” says Dr. Andrew P. Dean, Vice President of Research and Innovation.
