All children experience pain and parents are generally unaware of how they can help. Despite the fact that Canada leads the world in children’s pain research, many children still do not receive the pain care they deserve. There is evidence that parents can improve pain management for children when provided with appropriate information. Yet knowledge translation efforts have primarily targeted health professionals, not parents.
